Sweden’s Sandvik continues to divest in Brazil

Por: Latin LawyerImprimirVisualizar em PDF

Pinheiro Neto Advogados has helped US investment manager KKR acquire Hyperion from Swedish engineering group Sandvik in the Brazilian leg of a global deal worth US$475 million.

Sandvik enlisted Demarest Advogados. The deal closed on 2 July.

Hyperion specialises in the design and development of hard and super hard materials used in various industries, such as automotive, construction and mining. The company has assets in Brazil and Mexico.

The sale comes after Sandvik divested its Brazilian steel belt business in December. Demarest helped Sandvik on that deal, while Pinheiro Neto advised the buyer.
