Lefosse Advogados in São Paulo and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York have helped Brazilian tour operator CVC Brasil Operadora e Agência de Viagens issue secondary common shares worth 1.2 billion reais (US$369 million).
The two law firms also represented a US private equity fund Carlyle Group affiliate, which was selling shares it holds in CVC as part of the offering. Guilherme de Jesus Paulus also sold part of his stake in CVC, calling on Souza, Cescon, Barrieu & Flesch Advogados in São Paulo.
The underwriters hired Pinheiro Neto Advogados in São Paulo and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York for the offering, which was made on 16 August.
Last year, Pinheiro Neto helped CVC acquire a controlling stake in a wholesale airline ticket agent, which hired Souza Cescon.
