Pinheiro Neto Advogados has helped French cement company Vicat acquire a 65% stake in Brazil's Ciplan.
Ciplan's owners, the Atalla family, relied on Lefosse Advogados.
The deal was announced on 5 October. Vicat carried out a 1.2 billion reais (US$330 million) capital increase to raise funds to pay for the target company's existing debts.
The Atalla family, which founded Ciplan 50 years ago, will retain the remaining stake in the company. Ciplan operates a 3.2 million metric tons cement plant in Brasília, nine ready-mix facilities and five quarries.
